Tanya Douglas
Director Tanya moved to Okotoks from London in 2009 and loves being part of this incredible community. For her, Okotoks has felt like home from the moment she first visited the city in 2008. In 2013 Tanya opened Pure Envy Salon and Spa where she continues to work with an awesome team who share her passion for the business. Not one to back away from a challenge, in March 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic she opened Salutè Cocktail Bar and feels that both businesses are a great way to feel immersed in the community.
Tanya joined Baby it’s Cold Outside as a director in 2021 and says, “I am honored to be part of such an amazing team and can’t wait to move forward with everyone on expanding the vision for this incredible charity". |

Tara Kosek
Secretary & Director Tara has lived in Okotoks for 37 years and has been an active volunteer with many community organizations within and surrounding Okotoks. For 19 years and counting she has been the Game Day Coordinator for the Okotoks Oilers Junior A Hockey Club. Additionally, she is the Crowning Lead and Past Chair for The Calgary Stampede First Nations Princess Sub-committee, Calgary Callies FC equipment manager and trainer, a High River Senior Pro Rodeo Board of Director, and volunteers for many other organizations. Tara worked as a surface land administrator for over 15 years in the oil and gas industry and is currently a settlements administrator with Shift Connect Ltd.; helping the back office with administrative tasks. When not volunteering, Tara can be found spending time with her pup Ollie, traveling, boating in British Columbia, and spending time with family and friends. Tara says, “she is excited to continue her volunteer experience with BCO".

Julie White
Director - Lethbridge Julie spent many years canvassing in her free time for the Heart & Stroke society and then many more working as a canvassing captain while taking on routes that were left vacant. Her position with BCO started in late 2015 as a volunteer, where she pulled her working community together with BCO to boost her donation drives. In late 2019 she joined BCO as a full-time director heading up her own team of volunteers in the Lethbridge community for clothing and essentials drives. She believes no kindness is wasted and although you may not know it, your smallest action may create life-altering ripples and make a positive difference in another person’s life, maybe when they need it most.

Treasurer JD Accounting Services Inc is located in Okotoks, Alberta and is owned and operated by Julie Matchett, CPB PCP.
Julie Matchett has 11 years of professional tax preparation and bookkeeping experience and 8 years of managing retail and fast food operations. She has a Business Administration - Accounting Diploma with Honors and is working towards a Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting. She has worked with Federal Charities, Alberta Societies and AGLC casinos since 2014. She is a mother of 2 boys, and she's a Competitive Karaoke Singer. |
Jennifer Jenkins
Social Media Manager Working with non-profits has been a passion of Jennifer’s for more than 20 years. She has served a variety of organizations in different capacities including general volunteering, sitting on the board of directors and working as a marketing and communications specialist, Jennifer feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from these roles and meet many interesting people through them. She currently ranches near Waterton Lakes National Park and runs a marketing communications business from her home. Regarding her role at BCO she says that, "Working with organizations like BCO that are guided by people who are passionate about creating positive change is such a rewarding experience. I am grateful to be able to contribute to their endeavors".
